While birding in the Tandayapa Cloud Forest in Ecuador, we were greeted by many beauties.  Here are a few we embraced while meandering along the dirt road and jungle paths.

    • The birding there is magnificent, but if you’re not a fan of the tropics, you will probably be miserable. The tropics are a trying set of adventures all their own, which I am happy to endure because of the birds. But you might just enjoy blog hopping better, Jan. 😀

  1. How wonderful to see and be able to capture these beautiful birds, the butterfly… The colors of the Toucan is amazing! Thank you so much for sharing, Jet!

  2. Great photos! Your assessment of Ecuador’s cloud forests is accurate Jet! Not all people would feel comfortable in any kind of jungle. Thanks my friend! 🙂

    • You spend enough time in the jungles and you know it’s a crazy kind of place in the world, and yet we just keep going back for more!! I know you’ve learned that too. Always a delight to hear from you, HJ. 😀

    • Isn’t that wonderful?! The colors are so vivid. It’s really quite dark in the rainforest, but Athena has learned how to master the darkness with her photography, and as a result the colors pop out. I am so happy you enjoyed it Nan, and very much appreciate your visit. 😀

  3. My email just posted a like and follow from you, so I high-tailed it over here to see what you’re up to, and am very much liking what I see and read. I will follow, also, and certainly be back! Thank you…it is always good to discover new kindred spirits with quite different preoccupations in the blogosphere!
