Beautiful! Bees are an amazing super-organism. Zambia? Is there anywhere you haven’t been? Have a great weekend, Jet. 😀
I haven’t been to Big Bend where you just visited! ha. Thanks so much, Shannon, for stopping by — and you have a great weekend too. 🙂
really neat. Do they harvest the honey?
An apt question coming from a beekeeper. This particular hive was wild, we found it on a game drive, but yes, they do harvest honey in Zambia. Thanks so much, dear Bill — and hooray for honey! 🙂
I find bees to be so very fascinating. Wonderful quote.
I find bees fascinating, too, sw — thanks so much for your visit and kind words.
Amazing capture of these many bees, Jet! Hope to see more bees next spring… 🙂
We were on a game drive, an activity super-focused on big mammals, so it was fun to see this comparatively small world going on simultaneously. Thanks so much Amy– 🙂
OMG, we can learn so much from the bees. What an amazing hive. Thanks for sharing Jet.
Yes, so right, Sharon. There was so much going on in this little capsule in the world. Thank you, Sharon, always a treat. 🙂
I think that the bees are busy and wise. My granddad was a bee-keeper 🙂 He would say : don’t come close to the beehives. The bees sting idle girls 🙂
Oh how I love that image and quote, Inese. Very fun. 🙂
Oh it is fun all right 🙂 Winnie the Pooh might think the same 😉
You have been everywhere, Jet! Love this image, bees are such amazing yet scary creatures. Never seen a hive like this one, very cool looking. ❤️
We had never seen a hive like this one either, John. In fact, we didn’t know what it was at first, some brown mass in a tree. Glad you enjoyed the post, and appreciate your comment. 🙂
What a great hive!!
I think so, too, Sarah. I love the textures and shape. Thanks so much, and enjoy your weekend! 🙂
You too Jet 🙂
I’ve never been too close to a bee hive but I find them fascinating !
Not getting too close to a bee hive has its advantages. ha. I find them fascinating, too, Gin — thanks so much for your visit today. 🙂
Nice post and message
Thank you so much, my friend. 🙂
So true but a hard thing to keep in mind in our society!
It is indeed a very fast-paced society, and a tricky balance to keep. Thanks very much, Jan — have a fun (and not too busy) weekend. ha.
Wonderful photographs and quotation – hmm, finding the right balance is the challenge. Usefully occupied rather than busy!
From what I’ve experienced in your blog posts, Adam, I’d say you have a good grasp of the balance. Cheers, my friend. 🙂
Great Post
Thank you, Mukul — and thanks for stopping by. 🙂
welcome, my pleasure , your works compel me to stop
😀 😀
I take it those bees are not the famous African bees even when they’re in Zambia. The ones I mentioned are tough cookies! Thanks Jet! 🙂
African bees are tough cookies. Thanks HJ! And have a great weekend. 🙂
I hope you kept your distance Jet. Those african bees can be busily nasty!
Kept my distance from all potentially fatal African creatures, Val — thanks so much. 🙂
SUPER!
Thank you Alois! 🙂
Your quote made me feel bad because this past year has been a very, very busy year for me! 😉
(but the roller coaster has sure been fun!) 😀
It’s all about the balance, Gunta — if it’s fun, it’s right. 🙂
Amazing structure and a great quote Jet.
I am very glad you enjoyed today’s bee post, Andrea — my best to you for a terrific weekend~~
Since my outing in the summer with my friend the beekeeper I have been astounded by the meticulous and dedicated work efforts of bees. Seeing these wild bees presents an even more fascinating glimpse of their construction efforts. Busy indeed. Beautifully photographed!
It was fun to come upon this hive, Sue. And I agree with you, bees are so fascinating, and a real wonderful addition to our environmental world. Thanks so much for your great comment~~
Very true. Without slowing down, you can’t appreciate things, think about things. I currently don’t have this problem. At other times I am way too busy.
There’s often an ebb and flow, like the tides. Thank you for stopping by Jeff, I appreciated your comment.
Astonishing constructions built with wisdom and displaying harmony!Tiny busy creatures, but obviously very “cultivated”!They have perfectly applied the golden ratio to their elaborate work.Wonder when they find some spare time to study … lol.Splendid photos, dear Jet,accompanied by a sage quote and so much love for nature’s marvels!Have a wonderful and creative week ahead, dear friend 🙂 x
Thanks so much, dear Doda. I enjoyed your spirited comment, as always, and so appreciate your delightful visits, words, laughs and warmth. My best to you, dear friend~~ ♥*-*♥ 😀
Always my pleasure to read your work, dear Jet 🙂 ~~ ♥*-*♥
Thank you so much, dear Doda — you just made my day! 🙂 (♥o♥)

Loved the quote — and the beehive is fascinating! So different from the ones in our backyard!
As a beekeeper, I thought you’d find this fascinating. So glad you enjoyed the bee post, Nan. Thanks so much. 🙂
