Ride so boldly?
Okay,I’ll,and hold on,but I doubt it,if there is any tomorrow for me lol.It’s so uplifting and exciting,dear Jet!Great finding,my friend 🙂
So glad you enjoyed the post, dear Doda. 😀 When I first saw the garage door I knew right away I wanted to photograph it. But the woman who lived there was just locking up and leaving, and I didn’t want it to look like I was staking out her house, espec. when she’s leaving. lol. So I watched butterflies and waited. Have a fantastic weekend, dear Doda. 😀
Interesting the story and the little adventure behind the powerful rider, dear Jet!You could easily have included it in your post!I wish you also have a splendid weekend, dear friend 🙂 ~
Glad you liked it, Doda. Best wishes to you, too, for a wonderful weekend. 😀
Howdy! Sure like this one & have a great weekend! 😀
Love this post Jet. It reminds me so much of a friend’s story (she told me) about always wanting to water ski and never having the opportunity to do so or knowing anyone who could or would teach her anyway. Then the opportunity came up whilst on holiday; when she had got talking to her teenage son’s new friend who happened to be a keen water skier. He said he would teach her if she met him by the boat tomorrow…..’ I will teach you all there is to know’ he promised!
…..But by the time the boat had warmed up next day and ready to go he had hardly spoken a word or shown her what to do except where to put her feet and her hands ~ the bit to hold. He hadn’t said another word by the time she found herself sitting nervously on the water’s edge attached to the boat purring ready to pull away.
‘Tell me what to do!’ she cried, suddenly panicking. ‘I will no worries… ’ he called from the boat. The ropes tightened. ‘Tell me’ she cried ’tell me what to do’. ‘I will, no worries’ he shouted over the roar of the boat ….and then he waved. Suddenly she felt the sharp pull of the boat gripping her hands and body, as if she were ready to fly as he shouted his only instructions ~ at last ‘ Just hang on…….’ (And off she went!…. and survived) xx
Oh Gill, I loved this story SO MUCH! You captured the total essence of the post, and supplied a wonderful and literal interpretation. As a novelist I am “in my head” a lot, but I have learned over the years, this has to be balanced with experiencing life and hanging on and going with the flow. Thank you so much, dear friend, for taking the time to share this fantastic and appropriate story. You’re a good writer, had me going the whole way! 😀 😀
I wondered where you took the photo and just what it was. A real cowboy at a rodeo? A statue mysteriously hanging in mid-air? Must confess that GARAGE DOOR never crossed my mind! You find beauty in the most amazing places, Jet…
I loved hearing how you experienced the photo, dear Nan, and how the discovery of the garage door unfolded for you. Thanks so very much — I always appreciate your time and thoughtfulness in the comments and visits here. 😀
My internet connection is so poor this weekend… Just wanted to tell that I love the rodeo, but if I tried to ride myself I would probably fall off before taking a breath.
Have a wonderful week!
I’ve only been to a rodeo once, but I sure had a true appreciation for the skills once I attended. Thanks for your comment, Inese, and thanks for pushing through in spite of the internet problems. 🙂
Lol, I am and I’m enjoying the ride! Thanks Jet. Enjoy your ride today.
Your laugh brought a laugh to me — so glad you enjoyed the post, Sharon. Thank you, as always — and have a great weekend. 😀
Ya-hoo! That is wonderful, thank you.
Thanks very much, pc — I was walking around town and found this on somebody’s garage door. So glad you liked it — have a fun weekend my friend! 😀

Same to you, jet 🙂
YeeHa! Of course I would have held my hat high with my free hand! 🙂 Thank you my friend!
Your comment gave me a laugh, HJ — I would’ve ridden the bronco with no hands! lol. Thanks so very much. 😀
Love it!
Thanks very much, Cindy! 😀
Short, sweet and yet right on!

The good news is that you only have to hold on for a few minutes to have a good ride. 🙂 Fun photo, Jet–I love it.

What a great photo! 🙂 (I slithered swiftly past those snakes 😦 )
Your comment made me laugh, Jo. You checked out the street art and turtle, and let the rattlesnake be. That’s fair. and funny. 😀 😀
