  1. Chihuly’s work is AMAZING – we thought the Bellagio was impressive then we went to the Seattle Center, well bounced around outside due to time restrictions but WOW – have a wonderful week-end!

    • I am glad to see there are so many Chihuly exhibits all over the world now, but this Seattle Center is the only one dedicated entirely to Chihuly and you’re right, it is extremely impressive and inspiring. Thanks so much, Joanne, and you, too, have a great weekend! πŸ˜€

    • The Sealife Sculpture is over five feet tall and very elaborate, this star is one little part of it. I like the idea of pulling out a special element of the sculpture in this photo, and am glad you liked it too, Kamila. πŸ˜€

    • I hope you do, too, Sue. His love for glass making started when he began collecting glass that washed up on beaches. I think you and your husband would enjoy it a lot. Have a great weekend! πŸ˜€

  2. I thought this was taken underwater… after reading the comments I had to look it up… wowee, if I am ever in Seattle again I will head straight for the Chihuly Garden for sure.

    • Oh you will love it, as you visit so many museum exhibits. The Garden is very inventive (at the base of the Seattle Needle!) and the indoor exhibits are just as exquisite. Thanks so much for your visit. I’m glad to hear from you, especially since you no longer have a blog site. Maybe taking a rest? πŸ˜€

    • Thanks so much Bertie, I like to look at it too. When I visited the sculpture I just stayed there for the longest time, observing it on all sides, enjoying the mastery. You have yourself a wonderful weekend! πŸ˜€

    • Yes, as you can imagine, much more dazzling in real life. Being at the base of the Space Needle is really fun, and also, the garden glass sculptures in the rain are quintessential Seattle. Thanks Gunta! πŸ˜€

    • Dearest Doda, I am so glad you enjoyed the new elephant photo header! I freshened up my blog over the weekend with a new theme and header. This elephant photo is one that Athena captured, and it is along the Chobe River in Botswana. I have wonderful memories of that day along the Chobe when the elephants were in great numbers. So very glad you enjoyed the glass starfish too, truly a masterpiece. My best to you dear friend for a terrific day! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€
